to building the immediate family unit through job training,

                                            total familial involvement,
                                            and life skills counseling.

The focus of Your Discovery Place is the family unit. Whether a single parent or a two parent household,  the goal is to provide the tools necessary for keeping the family together, safe, and viable, through the making of money.  Training is offered to individuals who are unemployed, those seeking to re-enter society from incarceration or substance abuse, the displaced worker, single parents, battered women, and anyone who is looking to develop or enhance skills that will lead to self-sufficiency or an increase in income for the sake of the family. This is an excellent program for individuals who wish to establish a career or improve their current job skills, but who cannot afford childcare during the training process. The in-house early childhood learning center and after-school care provides for the child on-site as the parent works on developing a skill for employment.  Temporary housing and transportation to and from the facility can also be sought through the program for as long as the student remains in the program.
