Your Discovery Place is a training center servicing the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex in Texas. Situated within the southern sector of the City of Dallas, the center is designed to offer adult training in the areas of literacy, cosmetology, child care development, real estate, life skills training, and construction.
Your Discovery Place is a one of a kind as it offers a holistic approach in its mission to facilitate success of the entire family unit by offering training to meet the challenges associated with gender, color, poverty, illiteracy, and joblessness ---- factors which destroy the core of the family unit, inclusive of life-skill development. As the parent undertakes training geared toward developing skills for improving the financial stability in the family, the worry of securing the appropriate childcare is removed because safe and convenient childcare is offered on site as the course of study is undertaken.
Your Discovery Place is a family-oriented facility primarily designed to boost economic prosperity in the family, for the success of the family. With a goal to keep the family unit intact, our mission centers around four areas: 1) to facilitate the pursuit of training in areas that not only enhance the financial wherewithal of the family, but may lead to small business ownership in the future; 2) to provide coaching for the individual in life-skills preparation, 3) to provide quality and safe childcare while the training is pursued, and 4) to provide the necessary housing for the family, if necessary, while the training process is in progress.
